Live Tracking as standard
In addition to satellite navigation, CoPilot Live 6 also provides real-time tracking using the GPRS mobile internet connection.
If your Pocket PC is connectable to the Mobile Internet, you can enable friends, family or colleagues to monitor your progress as you move around the map, send you messages, and even new destinations in real time, wherever you are.
CoPilot Live 6 Pocket PC Features
CoPilot Live reports its position using the GPRS Mobile Internet. The service itself is free of charge, although you will incur charges for the GPRS data from your mobile operator.
With GPRS you only pay for the amount of data that is downloaded rather than the time spent connected. It is possible to manage those costs from within CoPilots Live settings by selecting how frequently a position is reported. The more frequent the reporting, the more data used
You can enable others to track your position and estimated time of arrival on a map via a secure Internet Site or the CoPilot Live Desktop software. You can even send tracking invitations via e-mail from the mobile, for example to allow a client to check your estimated time of arrival for a meeting
Others can send messages straight to you when they are out on the road. Simple, timed-out responses avoid distraction and let you respond at the touch of a button
Send new destinations to the driver.
Others can send you new destinations that you can simply accept or reject at the touch of a button. New locations are added straight into your itinerary.
Multiple vehicle tracking
For a small additional charge, it is possible to manage multiple vehicles from one screen, providing extremely cost-effective fleet management.
